The Basic Gravure Seminar teaches state of the art technologies and the latest industry challenges on 26 topics covering the entire gravure printing process. So, if you are relatively new to the industry this seminar gives you a solid foundation in all areas of the gravure process. Also, the seminar fills knowledge gaps for experienced practitioners who have not been formally trained in the practice of gravure. The course includes a significant amount of press-side time for demonstration of best practices and familiarization with equipment and process essentials. This includes plenty of time for questions and actual hands-on experience with the equipment. The seminar also includes a tour of the Southern Graphic Systems facility as part of the engraving portion of the seminar.

The GAA Advanced Pressroom Seminar takes the gravure process to the next level in gravure pressroom training. Utilizing the framework built during the GAA Basic Gravure Seminar, this course will provide in-depth discussion and hands-on training in areas pertinent to today’s gravure pressroom.

Focusing on the gravure press fingerprinting process, you will learn to identify and isolate variables that feed the press including substrate, ink, press, pre-press and cylinder parameters. Determining how to develop optimum press settings resulting in predictable print results will be taught. At the conclusion of the course, you will have the knowledge to successfully complete the long process of fingerprinting a gravure press.

GPC Conference

The Gravure Publishing Council is an organization headed by end-users of gravure printing. They plan and host a conference each fall that offers an opportunity for end-users and their suppliers to network and learn about the latest gravure advancements.
